TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified LTAC RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61605 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience as an RN in a critical care setting (preferred) License: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred) Must-Have: - Active RN license - BLS certification Job Description: - Provide quality patient care to critically ill patients through Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. - Serve as a patient advocate and supervise nursing care provided by other caregivers. - Develop care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff. - Apply critical thinking to promote positive clinical outcomes and ensure patient education. - Participate in discharge planning and process improvements to achieve clinical excellence. - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to documentation standards. - Provide leadership in organizing and directing nursing functions to achieve care goals and quality outcomes. - Act autonomously while delegating responsibilities appropriately based on skill level. - Create a compassionate environment by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers. - Share knowledge with coworkers and educate patients and their families to meet health needs. - Maintain a safe, clean working environment and comply with policies, procedures, and protocols. - Enhance professional growth through the use of evidence-based information and awareness of accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards. - Advocate for patients and caregivers to influence value-driven and effective nursing care.
