Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Acute Rehab Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a rehabilitation environment preferred License: Active RN license required Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Experience in a rehab care setting, proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft applications Job Description: - Practice at the highest level of RN licensure while collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. - Assess and support physical symptoms, provide psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentor assigned team members, promote best practices, and maintain a professional disposition at all times. - Deliver quality, competent care by following best practice standards and achieving care goals and quality outcomes. - Provide effective leadership in the delivery of quality nursing care by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions and collaborating with patients to implement their care plans. - Maintain the confidentiality of medical records and adhere to documentation standards with accurate, timely, and complete recording and reporting. - Act autonomously as a vital part of the care team while delegating appropriately and identifying patient care needs to maintain a high standard of care. - Create a compassionate, service-oriented environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers. - Enhance professional growth and development by participating in and utilizing current evidence-based information and staying updated with state and national accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards. - Advocate for patients and their caregivers to positively influence value-driven and effective nursing care within the healthcare continuum. - The work environment includes frequent emotional stress and occasional challenging situations, requiring resilience and effective coping strategies.
