Duties/Responsibilities: Implements software to run optimally on
SoC devices and SBCs. Analyzes product requirements and contributes
to engineering tradeoff decisions. Tests and adapts industrial
sensing devices and protocols to standard interfaces of a
proprietary IIoT platform. Tests, documents, debugs and maintains
stable firmware. Works with product and app dev teams to meet
business requirements. Analyzes and defines requirements to
determine specifications, standards, and tests solutions. Trains
users and writes training manuals. Manages user support and
feedback. Troubleshoots and resolves software defects and issues.
Participates in system integration and testing activities.
Maintains documentation for software design, implementation, and
user guides. Stays up-to-date with industry trends and emerging
technologies to ensure the continuous improvement of our products.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies: Essential
KSAs: Bachelor---s degree in related field and 2 years of relevant
experience. Knowledge of firmware development, wireless networks,
messaging protocols, hardware interfaces, interface protocols and
signal processing. Strong analytical, problem solving,
organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Desirable
KSAs: Knowledge of basic electronics / micro-electronics, PCB
design. Proficient in one or more programming languages. Prior
experience working with embedded software. Competencies: Safety
Communication Customer Service Physical Demands and Working
Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle,
or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk
or hear. The employee is also required to use a telephone with
headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequent use of a standard
keyboard and computer to document calls in a ticketing system, and
occasional use of other office equipment. The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds. The employee is
occasionally required to sit for long periods and use close and
color vision. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy
