Role Summary: As a Process Controls Design Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in designing and building advanced control systems for material handling and process equipment in the life sciences and chemical industries. You'll work on custom projects from the ground up, from selecting precision instrumentation to designing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems that power the pharma industry.

Objectives:
- Collaborate with project managers to review and interpret user requirements
- Create detailed Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Select and specify instrumentation tailored to each unique system
- Design controls panels for electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Design equipment network architecture
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor from time to time

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field

Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience designing controls systems
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley Products
- Direct and proven experience in designing electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Direct and proven experience in designing VFD and Motor control

Software:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and understanding of Hazardous Location requirements and protection methods
- Experience and understanding of Electrical Standards (UL, NEC)

Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Willingness to travel (5%-10%)

Pay Range: $80,000 - $130,000

Compensation details: 80000-130000 Yearly Salary
